Strength

I once heard a story of a woman who prayed and prayed for God to move the mountain that she had to climb, that she didn’t possess the strength to make it. She just couldn’t do it. She was talking to a fellow sister about the turmoil in her life and that she couldn’t understand why God had forsaken her and wouldn’t answer her prayer. It was then the sister told her. If there were no mountain she would have no reason to pray, nor would she know how strong she was. If there were never mountains we would miss the glory and the sense of accomplishment when reaching to top.

We would never gain the strength from the hours spent in prayer, nor would we know how awesome God really is to walk with us each and every step of the way. I pray that I never ask God to move a mountain just that he will give me the strength to climb it.

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.
When we face a trial, or when we have a mountain to climb, and we grow weary think of the scripture. It blesses my soul just to read it. God is so great. If we wait upon the Lord he will renew our strength. Just when it seems too much to bare God will be there to give us strength.

Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; For I am thy God I will strengthen thee; yea I will help thee; yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Oh how this scripture touches my heart. God has told us not to fear, not to fret. If we trust is God and we are his child he will give us strength and he will uphold is. How awesome it is to serve a God that will never let us down!

 1 Corinthians 1:27
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise: and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.
Just when we think we can’t take it, just when we think ( Ohh I can’t serve God, I’m not smart enough, I can’t go on I’m to weak, I’m just one person, what can I do? ) God has told us he has chosen the foolish to confound the wise. So even when it doesn’t make sense to us it makes perfect sense to God. When we feel that we are week God will make us Strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10 says I am weak, then I am strong.  With God we are, nor ever will be weak. We serve a strong powerful mighty God!
