Soap and Sin

Think of a tide commercial… Tide gets whites whiter and keeps brights brighter. How about Dawn commercials… Dawn cuts through the toughest grease. Dove soap… leaves skin soft and smooth. One of my personal favorites… Shout; on the toughest stains shout it out.

Gods love and grace and forgiveness works a lot like our brand name soaps.

Isaiah 1:18 says…

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Take something bright red and let it soak overnight in bleach, would it not be white when you wake up in the morning? Or take a stain or some type and put some shout on it let it soak in for an hour or so, then wash it out, most likely the stain would be gone.

Most of us think of sin as being dirty and ugly, and I would have to say that it is. To live is sin we become scared or stained. But ohhh the Love of the Father and his mercy and grace, when we repent of our sins though they’re like scarlet… like a bright red or discolored stain God will make them white as snow!

If you have sin in your life all you need is a little soap from the throne of God. Pray to the Father ask that he remove any sin in your life. Trust in him to cleanse you, to make you white as snow. God has the power to take a hardened heart full of hate and sin and make is as soft as wool.

Once your sins are forgiven and you’re covered by the blood of the lamb use the power of shout to keep living for Jesus. Walk in his light. As Paul said Die daily… always ask for forgiveness and thank God, praise him that he has cleansed you and make you a new creature in Christ Jesus.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
