Sorrow of Rejection.

Simply put, sorrow is a part of life. Who has not known some from of sorrow? Its a part of life and something that we all most face. Christ himself felt sorrow, he came to earth to bare and feel our pain, and to lift the burden of sorrow from us. One of the deepest forms of sorrow can be felt in rejection. Christ himself was rejected. He was despised and rejected by men. Let us not forget how he was mocked, and spat upon. At some point or another we have all felt rejection but I don't think many of us have been spit on. I cannot imagine how Christ must have felt.

His love was rejected. He came to preach, teach, and show love to all... and most rejected him. They could have cared less about his message of hope and salivation. Just like today most people want to go on about their lives and have no regard for God. I often wonder myself does he feel the pain of our rejection when he calls and we fail to answer?

John 1:11 says how Jesus was rejected by his people.

Matthew 13:57-58 says he was rejected by his home area.

He was rejected by the religious leaders.

He was rejected by the crowd at the cross. Matthew 27:39-43

If you have suffered the sorrow of rejection Jesus knows how you feel and he cares!
