The bible clearly states that there is no peace apart from God (Isa 57: 19-21) Christ came to bring us peace… He died for our sins and he is the only source of our peace. Romans 5:6-9 and Eph 2:13-17… Taking things a step further some people who are saved have peace with God but do not feel peaceful. At times in our Christian walk when things are easy we find that we are content or at peace, but when the battle comes and the storms rage we tend to lose some of that peace, as well as faith. It is hard for all humans to feel peace in the mist of a storm. BUT, with God in his spirit is peace - so that peace is within us! Peace with God shouldn’t only be in the good times it should be at all times. With Jesus Christ in our lives peace should be our daily experience. When things aren’t going well we can always find peace in God. When funds are low and debts are high we can always find peace in God. When health is uncertain we can find peace in God. Phil 4:6-9……And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. The holy ghost prompts prayer and thanksgiving and the holy ghost gives faith. With the holy ghost in our lives we can reach true inner peace that pushes away all doubt and fear. We must pray, have faith, and be thankful for the holy ghost, and for the peace that we find within it. If we as a church can learn to stop resisting that Holy Ghost its power and peace will break down all barriers between believers and a revival will erupt!
